Last week, I had lunch with Lady Boss in the office. In fact, she cooked Japanese favor curry rice for the office. (Me, my boss and herself)

Then when only both of us were left at the table, she mentioned " You have been falling sick recently. "

I replied, regretfully " Yar, I haven't been in good health since the beginning of this year, especially my stomach. Maybe it was due to stress at work, family and other issues."

Then she shot back " It could be due to other issues but definitely not related to work. Do you realise you took quite a number of MC (Medical Certificate) and leaves (I took 9 days off for my Japan Trip)? After calculation, (Lady Boss told me her calculation but I couldn't remember =.=III) you have practically take one day leave out of one working week, so I don't think you will have any stress related to work. " (That's it!! Although we had a long conversation but this was the main part that affected me slightly)

Personally, I don't recognise that Lady Boss had said. It is the same as " The number of hours that you worked, reflect on your capability".

I may have taken a lot of leaves and MC, the number of hours reduced, spending on work but the measure of stress is not based on that. A small issue can even stress out a person, depends on the importance of that issue in the person's heart / mind.

I was quite stressed out the past few weeks on a few projects, because the deadline is drawing near but nothing can be done. The decision doesn't lie with me, it lies with the Authorities.

In addition, the Architect stressed the importance of this issue by calling me, practically every day at 9am sharp and blabbing on the penalty fine for the delay of the handover of the project. Well, somebody is going to pay but definitely (100% sure) not our company.

Lady Boss is a nice and thoughtful lady but not in this sense. She will keep saying that her current life is not that good, as she has to cook for husband and family, do the household chores etc...but who can go shopping during working hours, chit-chatting with friends just outside office when I was rushing for deadline, coming to office at any time or even absent for the day. She even mentioned that she once went to a fortune-teller and the fortune teller told her, she was going to be rich after she past thirties but she retorted that it was untrue because she was still poor now.

In my heart, I was thinking, if you are still considered poor as a Lady Boss, then I am the beggar who lives down the roadside. =.=III

When she asked me to go out more often to shop or buy certain things, I feel like telling her that I have $300 which covers all my expenses for the month, unlike her, who spent over $100 on one of her shopping trip for the month.

I know she is concern for me but please don't use your ruler to measure me.
