Last Saturday, Zhihui and I were celebrating Huijuan birthday, oh..belated birthday...hehe...We went to the Secret Receipt at Plaza Singapura. At first, Huijuan wanted to go to the Manhattans House ( Did I remember the name correctly??) but there was a superb long queue. In fact, it was quite crowded everywhere, except secret receipt. At least, there was no queue.

This was what I had. Grilled Dory with Lobster sauce. Hehe...Zhihui was commenting the vegetables served look so different from what we saw on the menu. It showed broccoli instead. I love broccoli!!!!
This was what I had. Green Apple Katsuri. It was quite okay, abit sourish with a sour plum inside.

After that, we walked around and finally settled at the TCC outside Plaza Singapura. It was a fun meeting out.

Supposed to update my blog and the japan trip asap but sorry, I was so damn tired and SUPERB busy for the past few weeks.

I was suffering from depression for the past few weeks and troubled with family, work and PR problems.

Well, I have still decided to stay on with my current firm because the firm is going to take on a new stage of management and work scope and that's what I wanted although the pay offered for my next pay increment which is in Aug, is still lower than what outside firm offered.

As mentioned earlier on, I think I can work for enjoyment but I can't work for "$$"..I mean...of course I love $$ but meanwhile I want to enjoy what I am doing. In conclusion, I am just a damn workaholic...=.=III

I intend to take up jogging again as my heath is failing, I have been having migraines, running nose and...and...I don't even have time to afford to stay inside the toilet cubicle for more than 10 minutes...:s

This morning, I almost couldn't get up, having migraines again...*yawning* sorry...too tired and sleepy today and I need to attend that boring and non-achievement site meeting later in the evening....haiz...

Yesterday, I met up with Min and JM for dinner but it turned out that the two of us. (JM & me) Min was late and she said she was too busy with work till full...:S somehow I get the feeling she is avoiding me...and we were supposed to exchange the extra photos taken at Japan with each of our camera.

The night before, I still had to find time to sort out the photos and burn it into a DVD for her but yesterday at office, she said she would prefer to upload the photos for me to download and she already done it but I waited and waited...no links were given to me. " Are you really that BUSY mah?" I wanted to ask but refrained.

So last night, I was abit reluctant to pass her my DVD...from what I know about her, once photos given to her...she would take a long long time or forget to give me the links. :s In addition, I don't want to ask her repeatedly because of the same incident happened before and I was pierced by her that time.

Just to cut and paste the links to me, is it really so difficult or is it actually the priority that she set of me???

Japan Trip 2008 - Part 6 / 2nd Day

From Ropponggi Hills, Tokyo Tower is actually 3 train stops away but we wanted to try walking to Tokyo Tower since we could see the Tower from far away. (Now, thinking back, I think we were asking for troubles :s)

On our way to Tokyo Tower (on foot), we spotted this white little building. At a closer look, it was actually a restaurant opened by Singaporean and it was actually the FIRST restaurant that had SG's famous chili crab. I once watched the news announcing before I went Japan.

Finally, after walking for more than 2 hours, we reached Tokyo Tower. It was humongous, looking from the bottom of it.

I will highly recommend to visit Tokyo Tower and especially night time but there would be alot of people by that time. The scenery is great and beautiful. The admission fee is divided into 2 parts. The entry fee was made at the 1st storey and after reaching the intermediate level of Tokyo Tower, you need to pay to access the observatory level which was at the highest level. The overall admission fee cost around S$20++.

Back in hostel, I saw blood stain on my socks which gave me a shock!!! Then I realised that my smallest toe of each foot, had blister and bleed from the long hours of walking!! Itai~~Itai~~ >.<

Dilemma

I am in a dilemma now.

I have started sending out resumes and went for an interview in my friend's firm. I have two friends working at that firm, Rach and FM.

It was a firm with around 60 people and the manager who interviewed me, said there are still rooms for 80. In my field, big firms are always very systematic and compartmentalise which are very different from working in small firms when you just do everything, jack of all trades.

Alot of friends encouraged me to move on to a bigger firm which offer better prospect and most importantly, they can afford to pay more and a change of environment is good for me as well.

Currently, I am the only staff in my firm, a loner, to be more specific. Lunch in or out by myself, rushing for deadline without any help and no one to complain, well, I do complain to my boss when I met any setbacks in works or being misunderstood by clients or other parties.

Okay, I am abit off track. Rach's firm called me this morning and they offered the position and the salary that I asked for. That was something to be happy about but yet, I don't really feel keen about it. One of the main reason is that the scope of work from Rach's firm is different from what I am doing and enjoying it now. But, my priority is actually money now. I need money now.

I really, really want to continue doing what I enjoy, to find contentment and satisfaction but my boss can only offer this sum of money that was lower than my expectation. Haizz...

To leave what I am enjoying now for more money or to continue seeking enjoyment with less money.

Sometimes, although I know what is my priority but I am not that kind of person who only sees money and just work for the sake of money.(of course money is important to me, very important to the family)

I am worried that by sticking to my priority and accepting the offer, I can't enjoy my work and that will affect me alot.

Haizzz...which path should I take now...and where is going to lead me....

BBQ

I went to the Baojin's BBQ last Saturday held at Pasir Ris Downtown East Resort.

At first, I was abit nervous as I didn't know Baojin's friend and her friend was also calling her own friends. In another words, the BBQ was like a place to know more friends.

It turned out quite fun, because everyone at the BBQ only knew the person who invited them so we hit it off quite well.

And most importantly, the BBQ food was nice, especially the chicken wings and the Stingray (I love Stingray!!!) that were provided by the catering service. Yum~~yum~~

Long time didn't see Baojin, she didn't change much, however it was her sister who changed alot, became more mature and taller than Baojin, which is even taller than me =.=III (I was shorter than Baojin....nononoo...)

One regret is that I didn't manage to take alot of photos because I was either busy eating or helping out with grilling the food. Heehee...

On the way back, I left with Baojin's friend and Baojin's friend's ex-colleague...(hahaha...) We didn't know each other but we were so engrossed in the introduction and talking that I almost missed my stop, that was so unexpected...

Japan Trip 2008 - Part 5 / 2nd Day

After leaving Ueno Park, we dropped by this 6-storey anime building before we headed down to Akihabara. This building was stationed a few shops beside the stall that we had our breakfast earlier on and just opposite Ueno Train Station.

I will recommend this place for getting souvenirs. A lot of cute things inside and I spent a bomb, most of the souvenirs I got it from here, which I never expected that in the first place. =.=III

Then we went to Akihabara to visit the Tokyo Anime Centre. It was free admission.

Inside the Tokyo Anime Centre. All these figurines are human-size. I have taken quite a number of pictures but I only posted this. This was just the beginning of day 2. :s

Since we were at Akihabara, of course, we went to some of the electronic shops and beside, Min wanted to get a handphone, one of the latest design in Japan.

One highlighted point, beside electronics stuffs, there were alot of bookshops at Akihabara, most of them were multiple stories. (My eyes were opened wide and shining with anticipation) This was where I managed to clear most of the titles on my book list. Heehee~~~

In the late evening, we set off to Ropponggi Hills to look at the street arts and lookout for this big gigantic spider sculpture, specially requested by Min.

While taking a rest, I saw groups of office people coming out of the building and there were these people with camera, background lighting boards etc. Then these groups of office people would stand under the gigantic spider sculpture, like what we did when we were taking our class photos back in school days. Instead of class photos, they were taking office photos.

If you look at the background carefully, you can see the Tokyo Tower behind and that was our final stop. Seemed near but that's where our exhausted journey started. T______T

Forgive me

The time has come
for me to go
Forgive me
but I wish to soar higher in the sky
~
The time has come
for me to decide
Forgive me
but I have to make a choice

I have been going through a lot of things for this week. Deeply sunken into depression and yet trying to clear my work, that is already piling up.

I have been so temperamental that I don't even want to talk to anybody, especially those who are not keen to listen to me, except those who are seriously trying to help me get out of it.

For those who kept saying, they have the same problems as me and ask me to face it, now I am telling you, I am facing problems with family, work and most importantly financial. Should I be happy that I don't have a boyfriend to add on to my burden??

I know a lot of people around the world are even worse than me, that's what I kept telling myself but I forgot I am staying in SG, where everything is so unbalanced.

Well, I will try to get myself out of this slump asap and hope to add a new entry for my Japan Trip.

Japan Trip 2008 - Part 4 / 2nd Day

After visiting Asakusa temple, we took the train down to Ueno.

This stall is just right opposite Ueno Train Station and this was where we settled our breakfast.

Instead of ordering your food verbally, there was a vending machine just at the entrance when you pulled open the main door where you just selected the food you like and inserted coins or dollars.

(Coins are very handy in Japan although most of the vending machines accept dollar note. They do not round off the cents to the 2ND decimal, unlike SG.)

Back to the ordering of food, a ticket was issued from the machine after inserting coins. We went inside and the chief / boss would get the ticket from you and start to prepare.

This is what I ordered. Rice with beef toppings, a bowl of miso soup and a cup of green tea. The miso soup tasted good but different from the bean paste that I had elsewhere and there were two little pinkish "thing" which I had no idea what was it. Now, for the main dish, the beef was good, chewy, tender and not overcooked.

By the way, this set of meal cost me 590yen (S$8.26). I found the price okay because the food was very nice and most importantly, it was very, very filling for me.

After that, we walked to Ueno Park to do some sakura viewing. Hehehe

This hot weather is driving me crazy every minute of the day. SO HOT!!!!!!!

Lack of sleep at night because of it. Even with two fans operating, it is so unbearable. At moment like this, I really wish to install aircon but too much aircon is bad for health and complexion :S

Yesterday, which was a Saturday, was such a busy day. The 2 angel-in-disguise "devils" came to our house. I went to the hospital with my brother and then went to Toa Payoh to run some errands, bringing along one little cute "devil" with me. After that, stayed at home, clearing my own stuffs etc...

In between, I was playing the PSP brought by the little cute "devil" and I was addicted to the game "7 Wonders". Too bad, the PSP was not mine. Now, I am considering getting one but still deciding on getting a Nintendo DS or a PSP. Both cost around $400 plus. Well, for sure, will not be getting it until end of the year. Time to start savings for it.

Haiz...I have been saving for life for the things I want. When will the day comes when I can just spend whenever and on whatever I want.

Touched by An angel

I feel peaceful now because I had been touched by an "angel" today~~

Thousands of "Thank you" cannot express my gratitude to you.

I pray that happiness will be with you forever.
