Japan Trip 2008 - Part 3 / 5th Day
We had walked from Shinjuku to Yoyogi, the intermediate stop between Shinjuku and Harajuku. Then we walked down to Harajuku and Min pointed out that we could either get into the Meijijingu / Yoyogi Park or took another path to skip it and reach Harajuku and we opted for the first.
Although the journey was wasted through all these walking, when we could take the train in the first place to get to Harajuku, but some little things or scenery along the way, you just had to experience by walking. If we took the train, we would have missed out alot of details along the way. This is all about sight seeing. ^^
Japan Trip 2008 - Part 2 / 5th Day
This is Shinjuku. This is a very good place to shop and I realised that the average price of the items in Japan Department Shop is around 3500yen ~8500yen, which is about S$40 ~ S$100 and 3500yen is considered cheap over there!!! =.=III
But I think for the Japanese, they can afford to spend because their salaries are high, to cater for all these. As for us, tourists, we may find it expensive.
Unfortunately, part of Shinjuku area was under construction at that time so...yar, abit rueful about it.
Did you see that?? It is a multi-storey bookshop, Kinokuniya!!! That's my favourite place and of course, I bought alot of japanese manga and it was cheap, as compared to the japanese manga you order in SG.
Oh, when we reached Shinjuku train station, we had deposited our main luggage at the lockers because we would be coming back to board the night coach to Kyoto.
After we had shopped at Shinjuku, ( believe it, we had spent almost half of the day or more, just at one shopping mall!!! one day is not enough in Shinjuku!!!) we decided to walk down to Harajuku, which was about two train stops away.

I can't believe
I had done my financial budget for next month and I realised that I didn't even have a cents for my own expenses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nonononoooo!!!!
I have expected the extra expenses for the family, the TV licence but I never expected that I would get a pay deduction of $200 plus for my unpaid medical certificates. This is like a thorn in my heart that will pain till Chinese New Year or even longer!!! Seriously sick for a couple of days and ganna deducted $$ as well. This Christmas sure is sucks for me!! T_______T
This is so De-moralising towards a brand New Year 2009....*emo~ing away~

The Earth
Last night, I had finally get the chance to watch " The Day The Earth Stood Still" with Min and JM at The Cathay. The time slot that we were able to compromise was 9.25pm. Wow, I cannot remember when was the last time I watched a movie that started this late.
Well, I like this movie, partly because of Keanu Reeves, of course and the story plot was quite interesting except that the ending was too abrupt and I expected more destruction. Muahahaha!!
The best part I like is Keanu Reeves had spoken Chinese in the movie. ^O^ Although alot of people were snickering at it in the movie but for a foreigner to pronounce it for us to understand, I think it's considered "GOOOD"!!!

Ma Maison
We had Sakae Delivery for Office Xmas Lunch and an exchange gift programme. However, when the delivery came, we realised that our orders were all messed up because the delivery pamphlet given to us, is different from what we had printed out from the Internet. They should have update their website. =.=III
We ordered bento sets for everyone and a party tray of sushi for all to share but I didn't eat alot of sushi as the bento set was very filling.
Last night, I met up with my primary school friends, Peiying and Huijing. We went to this Japanese Western Style restaurant for dinner, called "Ma Maison" meaning "My Home" in french at Central.
We had ordered one appetizer and 3 main courses to share.
Soba and spaghetti. The Soba was the appetizer. I can't remember the exact name for these two dishes shown but I can say these two dishes were very nice and tasty.
Chicken Steak Garlic and "Takara" Omu-Rice. The steak was absolutely delicious, juicy and the meat was very tender. I will high recommend if anyone is going to dine at that place. As for the Omu-Rice, it was quite tastless and abit watery and only halfway through, when we had almost finished it, we realised that the reddish lump was very salty and it should mix with Omu-Rice but I guess it will look disgusting if we mix together in the first place. =.=

Sick
The doctor insisted that I wasn't running a fever but I have been monitoring my own temperature since yesterday. The temperature turned out to be higher than my normal temperature. =.=III Even at home today, the temperature has been going up, instead of dropping down to my normal temperature.
In the end, I was given 2 days of MC but I just I will be unable to claim for my MC since I already took one MC this month.
Talking about MC claim. does your company has this kind of policy : You are only able to claim $28 the max per month for the MC claim. I think this is abit nasty and unfair. I remember once when I asked my lady boss why I was unable to claim for full sum and she told me because my other ex-colleague had more MC claim than me, so she was given the privileges!!!
When I first signed the contract with this company, it didn't state the max. amount that you can claim for MC. It just said you can claim for MC once you are a confirmed staff.
Min told me I don't need to feel guilty for taking MC and disrupting my work schedule, I am obliged to and I started to think that way. Just because I am an old staff, who have been working for about 4 - 5 years but that's doesn't mean the bosses can abuse my privilege.

Bothered
For work, how matter how hard you work, how much time and effort you have put in, you still earn that same amount of salary every month, but of course, you will get that emotional feeling of "satisfaction" upon finished that job. Personally, I think there should be a balance of that. "you should rear what you have sow"
For friends, I will always voice out my gratitude to my friends who had helped me out in my difficult times, through words, (although, I am an Asian but something you just need to speak out) or little gifts. I don't expect returns but I hope they will treasure and have me in their heart.
By the way, does anyone have this feeling before?? When you offer to make the payment first during dinning with friends or shopping with friends, you somehow can't seem to see that money being returned to you, after that friend returns to you after a long time. In addition, that person will deduct the amount of money you owned her / him before paying back. After owning your money for so long, when is time to return, there always seems to be a part of the money being deducted for some recently purchases that she / he pays for you in advance. This is normal, common, yeah, I know but what I am trying to say is you CANNOT see that money coming to you, instead I just know that the balance in my account is decreasing instead of increasing, even when that friend paid you back a sum of money...I don't know, you just can't see it. haizzz...
I guess only people like me, who are money-conscious and having budget control will acknowledge that problem...

Updates
Luckily, there was a Japanese department merchandiser, who was arranging the magazines, nearby so I decided to try my luck with her. And just by mentioning the male artist name, she was able to figure out which title I was looking for. I was very excited and impressed by her knowledge for her professionalism!!! d(^__^)b But her next sentence brought me down to earth!!!! It was out of stock and they would not replenished again as it was already the second shipment!!!! Can you believe that??!!! That magazine was the December issue and it was already out of stock!!! Today is just the 6th of December!!!!!!! Okay, back to the story~~~
Then I requested if I could get a glimpse of the magazine cover to double confirm and so I followed her back to the counter. Then she turned the laptop, facing me.

Ta-Da!!! This is the one!!! The one I have been looking for it. Although the face was covered but I remember the background. Since it was out of stock for Orchard branch, I asked if she could check the availability at other branch, which is Bugis. She helped me to call up and fortunately, there is stock and it happened to be the last copy!!!!! Thanks God!!!! So I requested for the copy to be transferred to Orchard branch and she agreed. So, now I am waiting for the call to make my collection. Heehee...
On the same day, I received my third desk calendar, given to me by my lady boss. It was so cute that I couldn't bear to reject, although I was still thinking of a new location to display my second desk calendar. I only have one desk yet three desk calendar!!! :s Help!!!!

Updates
I was even not that busy as I used to be but yet I was just restless...haiz...I don't even have mood to work now...Of course!! Today is Friday!!! Tomorrow is weekend...the day I have been pinning for...
However, I have been snapping photos of the Christmas decorations at each part of Singapore if I happened to pass by, on foot, on the taxi or bus but the image was not sharp, as I was in motion.
Last Friday, I met up with a friend at bugis. We went to Kinokuniya and we saw this Japanese magazine with this male artist, Matsumoto Jun on the cover. The cover was quite pretty, bright and I was sort of memerised by it. (Min was laughing at me when I told her that...hidoi~~~ >.<) I didn't know why I didn't get it that time but now, I have been thinking about it. But!!! I couldn't remember the title of the Japanese magazine, and you know, there are thousands of Japanese magazines in Kinokuniya. I tried to ask Min to get it for me as she works around that area but no title, no adequate information, how is she going to get for me??!!! T_________T
Okay, now I am going to be in the emo mood...(PL drawing circles on the floor....)
